Stabilisation by stressed skin diaphragm action is a publication dealing with design and execution of roof of profiled sheeting where the sheeting, beams and rafters together form a stiff diaphragm, which transfers wind forces to the bracing in the walls. Simple flat roofs as well as different types of non-rectangular roofs are discussed. Good practice in presenting sheeting and fasteners on drawings and worked examples is an important part of the publication. The worked examples are based on the Eurocodes.
